The Contributory Aged Parent Visa (Residence), Permanent, Subclass 804 visa allows aged parents who are in Australia to make application to remain in Australia permanently with their children

To be eligible men must be at least 65, women at least 63-65 depending on when you were born. You must also have an Australian citizen or permanent resident child living in Australia and at least half of all your children are permanently residing in Australia.

Your child or other eligible sponsor in Australia must sponsor you and they must provide the Australian with an assurance of support on your behalf. Your spouse and other family members may be included in your application if they meet certain requirements.

With this visa you can study and work, access certain social security and be eligible to apply for Australian Citizenship.
