Dependant Child Visa - Subclass 445

Turner Coulson Immigration Lawyers - Dependant Child Visa - Subclass 445

The Dependant Child Visa, Subclass 445 is a temporary visa for a natural, adopted or step child of a parent who holds either a subclass 309, 820, 310 or 826 temporary partner visa and who has not yet been granted a permanent partner visa.

To be eligible the child must be ‘dependent’, not be married and will require sponsorship from the same person sponsoring the child's visa-holding parent. The parent must have the legal right, whether solely, by permission or court order, to determine where the child can live and be able to provide for the child’s needs.

With this visa the child can live in Australia for as long as its parents temporary visa permits or permanently if the parent is given permanent residence.
