The Orphan Relative Visa (Offshore), Permanent, Subclass 117 visa is a permanent visa for children from overseas whose parents are unable to care for them.

To be eligible the child must have a relative willing to sponsor them and provide support including accommodation and financial assistance for 2 years from the date of the visa grant. The sponsor must be 18 or older, a close relative of the child, an Australian or eligible New Zealand Citizen or permanent resident and have been lawfully resident in Australia for 2 years.

With this visa the child can travel to and live permanently in Australia and travel to and from Australia for 5 years from the date of the visa grant.
