About this Australian Visa
There were an ever increasing number of Independent Executive visa holders within Australia who faced the problem that their business visas were due to expire even though they were in Australia under legitimate circumstances and needed the time the time to apply for permanent residence and so this option was developed for them.
Purpose of the Independent Executive Further Offshore – Subclass 457 IEFAO
The Independent Executive Further Application Onshore - Subclass 457IEFAO visa allows these Independent Executive visa holders to remain in Australia to become eligible for permanent residence under -
- Established Business in Australia (Subclass 845).
- Regional Established Business in Australia (Subclass 846).
- Sate/ Territory Sponsored Business Owner Subclass 892)(Residence).
This visa is only for existing holders of a Temporary Business (Long Stay) Independent Executive visa (Subclass 457IE) who need more time to be eligible to apply for one of the three Australian visas listed above.
Note to New Applicants for the Subclass 457 Visa
It is necessary for all New applicants for subclass 457 visas to apply for a Temporary Business (Long Stay) - Standard Business Sponsorship Visa.
